What is “The ABC Project”?

- This project, sponsored by the Apopka Area
Chamber of Commerce, is being initiated to promote beautification
and community pride throughout the City of Apopka. Businesses within
the Apopka area will be recognized for landscape improvements and
maintenance. It is also designed to educate businesses on how to
reach their goals to rejuvenate their business presence and increase
their “bottom line”.

What are the criteria for winning the award?

- Your business must be a member of the Apopka Chamber OR located
within Apopka.
- Improvements (i.e. landscaping, new sign, etc.) must be maintained
for a period of 3 consecutive months prior to receiving the award.
- Structural improvements must enhance the aesthetics of the city.

city ordinances. This ordinance describes in detail the process on
how, where, and what landscaping is approved within the city limits.

Friendly” landscaping!! This type of landscaping promotes the use of
native, drought tolerant plants for water conservation. The
University of Florida Institute of Food & Agricultural Services has
