For Immediate Release, Press Release 2/2/2022
With site plans approved for Starbucks & Brew Theory Marketplace, The City of Apopka and the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that a groundbreaking ceremony is planned for Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. for the Apopka City Center, located next to the Hilton Garden Inn, 580 E. Main Street, Apopka, FL 32703.
Brew Theory Marketplace will consist of a 12,000 sq. ft. Food Hall with offerings that incorporate many of Orlando’s finest restaurant concepts. Commuters and residents will also soon have a convenient coffee option: Starbucks, located at SE Corner of Main St & McGee Ave, boasts a 2500 sq ft space with indoor/outdoor seating, and a drive thru window. “The Chamber is excited to be part of the ongoing growth and progress in Apopka. These collaborations are key.” said Cate Manley, President, Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Following the success of the new Hilton Garden Inn and the enhanced Highland Manor, Apopka City Center is now breaking ground on the restaurant and retail phase of construction, “says Jeff McFadden, Managing Director at Taurus Investment Holdings. “Today we celebrate a significant milestone that brings quality amenities to the residents of Apopka. This has been a long time coming, and we are thankful for the community’s efforts to get us to this groundbreaking.”
According to Craig Govan, Development Partner, both retailers are slated to open in late 2022, and will employ over 50 people, while creating 150 temporary construction jobs.
“We are pleased to announce the groundbreaking for Starbucks and Brew Theory Marketplace as compliments to the existing Hilton Garden Inn and Highland Manor at the Apopka City Center,” said Bryan Nelson, Apopka Mayor.
A celebratory reception at Hilton Garden Inn is planned directly after the groundbreaking until 12 PM.
